People often arrive hoping a microdose will do something to them — deliver an insight, dissolve a problem, quietly rearrange a life while they get on with their day. It is a tempting story, and it is the wrong one. A microdose is not a wand. At most it opens a brief window: a short stretch of slightly altered attention in which you may notice things you usually walk straight past.
The noticing is the gift. But noticing, on its own, changes nothing.
The dose opens a window. Integration is everything you do while it is open — and after it closes.
That single line is the spine of this whole course. Keep it close. Everything we practise together — journaling, meditation, breath, body awareness, hard days, building habits — is integration. None of it lives inside the substance. All of it lives in what you build around it.
It helps to hold these apart from the very first minute:
The substance is a temporary nudge. It may, for a few hours, loosen the grip of habit and let attention land somewhere fresh. Then it fades. That is the whole of what it offers.
The practice is everything you do with what you noticed: writing it down, sitting with it, returning to it the next morning, and — sometimes — acting on it.
Confusing the two is the most common mistake in this field. The window does not owe you a breakthrough, and it cannot hand you change. Change is built, slowly, in the practice.
Here is the everyday version. On a dose day you notice that the instant you feel rushed, you snap at your partner. That noticing is free — it simply arrives. But by itself it evaporates by dinnertime. It only becomes anything if you write it down, sit with it without flinching, and let it shape one small choice later: maybe a pause before you reply when you feel that familiar pressure. The window showed you the pattern. The practice is what turns seeing into living differently.
Let me be plain from the first minute, because the frame matters.
This is an education in attention and reflection. It is non-clinical. It does not treat anxiety, depression, or any condition; it does not promise outcomes; and it does not tell you to take anything. We describe what people report and how things are defined — never what a substance will

And here is the quietly liberating part:
These are mindfulness skills first. Noticing, recording, reflecting, and acting work exactly the same with or without any substance.
A dose day may make the window feel a little wider, but the window is not the source of the value. You are.
Nothing here depends on dosing. If you never take anything, every practice in this course still stands on its own.
Over the coming lessons we will build the toolkit piece by piece: a short daily journal for catching what the window reveals, meditation for watching your own attention, breath and body work for settling and locating feeling, a steady approach to difficult days, and finally the slow craft of turning insight into habit.
The dose, if it is part of your life at all, is only ever the opening. What you do with the opening is the work — and it begins with noticing.
